Reindeer Games

Here are some of the reasons why I chose the name Free Bill.

First off, my name is Billy. For the most part, the theme of this project is centered around free will and determinism. “Will” can be short for William, and so can Bill.

I would also say this whole exercise is very therapeutic for me—and in that sense, freeing. It’s also a bit of an oxymoron, because if everything is deterministic, how can anyone truly be free?

Lastly, I think it plays on the fact that the world, as it currently operates, feels like a bit of a prison to me. If those underlying societal dynamics were to ever change, I feel like I could finally participate.
